«Welcome to our village Archangelo!»

Тип урока: урок комплексного применения знаний и умений.
Тема урока: «Welcome to our village Archangelo!» («Добро пожаловать в наше село Архангело!» (Региональное содержание: Мир вокруг меня: рассказ о моем крае/городе/селе).
Цель урока: Развивать у обучающихся навыки коммуникативных, личностных и познавательных универсальных учебных действий по теме: «Мой город/Мое село»; c использованием проектной технологии.
Задачи урока:
1. Образовательные:
- активизировать в устной речи известные обучающимся лексические единицы;
- расширить словарный запас;
- совершенствовать умения и навыки использования лексических единиц.
2. Развивающие:
- формировать способность к общению;
- формировать опыт самостоятельной деятельности;
- развивать языковые и познавательные способности, готовность к общению;
- развивать творческие способности учащихся в самостоятельной деятельности.
3. Воспитательные:
- воспитывать умение слушать друг друга;
- воспитывать основы культуры общения (толерантности и партнерского общения);
- воспитывать интерес к изучению английского языка;
Методы обучения: объяснительно-иллюстративного обучения, частично-поисковый, коммуникативный.
Виды речевой деятельности: говорение (монолог, диалог), письменная речь (письмо-приглашение).
Формы работы на уроке: индивидуальная работа; фронтальная работа; работа в парах; групповая работа.
Материально-техническое оснащение урока: компьютер, проектор, презентация, карточки с заданиями, учебник, видеоматериал.
Планируемые результаты или универсальные УУД:

-закрепить лексические единицы по теме «Мой город/Мое село»;
-повторить и закрепить употребление конструкции there is/there are;
-развить навыки аудирования с извлечением конкретной информации с опорой на зрительный образ;
-формировать навыки письменной речи (с опорой на образец).

-закрепить навыки поиска необходимой информации;
-уметь делать выводы и составлять предположения.

1. Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you! Welcome to our English lesson! Before we start our lesson, I want you to warm up. Are you ready? The task is very easy. You should repeat the actions after me. Ready? Let’s start!
It’s time to think, It’s to speak, It’s time to show, Ready! Steady! Go!
Now let’s do it a bit faster! Now we’ll try to do it as fast as we can!
Perfect! Sit down, please.
2. My dear friends! I want to know more about you. I will say what I like. If you like the same thing that I do, you should say: “ I like it too”. OK?

I’m glad that you like our village. By the way, what is the name of our village? Right you are. Our village is called Archangelo.
Now it’s time to repeat the names of city / village places. We’re going to watch a video. In this video the girls are singing a song about their city. Try to remember as many places in their city as you can. You may write them down while listening. So, let’s start. (The video “Welcome to my town!”, the words are - palace, shopping centre, university, cafes, restaurants, playground, library, station, cathedral, hospital, swimming pool, market, theatre, bridge, river, park, school, football stadium, police station).
Now tell me the names of the city places you’ve just heard in the song. Use “There is/are…. in the city”.
Why do you think the people are happy in the city?
Great! And they want to invite us to visit their city, don’t they?
3. Help me name our lesson. What do we usually say when we want to invite someone to our village? (“Welcome to our village!”).
What do you think we’re going to do in our lesson? (listen, speak, read, write, draw, play).
4. Let’s get down to work. Try to do your best!
Now we’re going to watch the video again. But this time we’ll see and hear one of the students of our school – Ivan Batsulin who will tell us about our village. Try to listen to Ivan carefully and remember the facts he’ll be speaking about. OK?
Before we start watching the video, look at the task we’re going to do in your worksheets. The task is to watch, read, and write “yes” or “no” – “Ivan says:…”. If you think Ivan has given you such information, write “yes”, if you don’t agree, write “no”.
We’re going to watch the video twice. Read through the sentences. Is everything clear to all of you? Do you need my help? Let’s start then. (The video “Welcome to our village Archangelo!”, Write Yes/No handouts)

5. My friends! It’s high time to make a collage. Your home task was to draw your house with the name of a street and the number of it. Are you ready? Now get out your drawings. Let’s cut them with scissors, glue them to the Whatman paper on the board.

6.Before we start doing the next task, let’s do some exercises for your eyes

Let’s read it all together. When do people write such letters? Right you are! When they want to invite someone to their place.
Now we’re going to write letters ourselves. I’ve prepared postcards with pictures of Archangelo for each of you. Take a postcard and write a letter. Use the letter on the screen as a model. Since we’re short of time, you don’t need to write a whole letter, just complete the gaps. Do the task individually, but the help of your classmates in your group is welcome too.
The time is up. I want some of you to read your letters out.
Super! I promise I’ll send your letters to the students from other schools to invite them to Archangelo. Are you OK with my idea? Great!
8. So, it’s time to finish our lesson. I’m very pleased with your work! You’ve done the great job! And now I want you to send your smiley faces on my mobile phone on the board. Draw a smile and glue them to the picture of my phone.
